Longest handling session so far

I think my last couple of blog posts didn’t appear. Anyway….last night (Friday April 3), saw Mr Burrows with about 1/2 his body outside of cool hide. Opened the terrarium door and he didn’t retract, so with some gentle pulling got him out of hide and out of enclosure.

He was very chill and relaxed and I handled him for about an hour – had him wrapped about neck for a while, and we did some ‘exploring’ together around the room. When I went to return him he instead wanted to go on top of the enclosure so I let him lounge up there for 15 minutes or so, handled him again for a while until he was ready to go back to his warm, safe home.

Total time was close to 2 hours.
